Aukan’s Axe of the Giant Slayer is a magical Axe, currently used by Vimak Vaimei-Laga.

History

Aukan Vaimei-Laga was whispered to by Kuori Vaimei-Laga, without Vimak Vaimei-Laga’s knowledge, that he would become a future chieftain of the Gathakeaku Clan. To cement this, Lo-Kag Vaimei-Laga engraved invisible inscriptions on Aukan’s axe, enhancing its power and amplifying his abilities. Around this time, Aukan turns his attention to Hevenar to safeguard his mortality (they say you die twice – once when you exhale your last breath and once when your name is spoken for the last time), and hunting in its name, sealing their bond over years of Aukan growing stronger.

You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

When you hit a giant with it, the giant takes an extra 2d6 damage of the weapon’s type and must succeed on a DC 15 Strength saving throw or fall prone. For the purpose of this weapon, “giant” refers to any creature with the giant type, including ettins and trolls.

Proficiency with a battleaxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
